Sean Connery BAFTA Tribute press pack 1990 is for sale. The press pack is for a specially produced programme to commemorate the film career of former James Bond actor Sean Connery and is entitled: ‘The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Tribute to Sean Connery’, and is dated Sunday 7th October 1990.


This rare BAFTA press pack also includes the BAFTA-Shell UK Report for December 1990 with Sean Connery to front cover. Additional film and TV ephemera included in this press pack are a rare 4-page full colour advertisement for the Japanese premiere of Kenneth Branagh’s Henry V; and The Movie Map TV and Film Locations in Britain.


All these documents are housed in a BAFTA custom card folder which has the BAFTA logo and the Shell logo in gilt as well as the title in gilt.

The Sean Connery Tribute Programme has a photograph of Sean Connery to the front cover.  As you open the programme there is a tissue guard that comes before the page bearing the photograph of HRH The Princess Royal beneath the Royal Crest.  Contained within this programme there is a huge amount of biographical details of Sean Connery and photographs from his very successful film career.  This programme also has photographs of other film memorabilia such as FAB1 from Thunderbirds, the Spyker from the film Genevieve, the Batmobile from Batman the film, an advertisement from Thames Television entitled “We Hope You’re Enjoying the Programme” which states:
